Thoughts on 2012

So here we are wrapping up the old year and a new year is upon us. 2012 is a crossroads in so many ways.

For starters, it is an election year. This undoubtedly will be the most important and pivotal election in our lifetimes. In eleven months the people of this country will either embrace liberty or tyranny. This country can ill afford another 4 years of the current administration. Considering how radically socialistic the policies have been going into an election year, most assuredly things will take a monumental step toward the loss of personal freedoms if this administration is given another 4 years.

For starters, preparations for radical anti-gun legislation have been taking place for some time. For instance, the State Department has been trying the push the ratification of the UN Small Arms treaty which would pretty much nullify the 2nd Amendment. Two Supreme Corurt Justices have been appointed by our current President. Both Sotamayor and Kagan are well known for having anti-gun philosophies.
Even the First Lady has promised if re-elected there would be decisions made that would "Impact our country for generations to come."

While to some this may seem trivial,
I would submit for consideration that an armed citizenry is the ultimate deterrant to the encroachment by the state upon individual personal freedoms.

The CHRISTIAN values that this country was founded on are discouraged, made light of and even nearly outlawed. We are told to be tolerant but attacks upon traditional values are at an all-time high and are ever increasing. Apparently tolerance is a one way street.

The President criticized the American people for "clinging to their guns and religion". Well, I do PROUDLY cling to my guns and faith, as this is what made this country great.

If you value your freedom of religion and desire to have the means to protect this and other personal freedoms, I urge you to make your voice heard in November.
